OWNER'S RESPONSIBILITY

"Horses willingly and generously give us everything they have:
Their lives, their labor, their talent, their affection, their companionship.
They ask for only one thing in return: Our protection. When horses are at risk
of abandonment or worse, we owe it to them to provide a safe refuge
and warm welcome. The Kentucky Equine Humane Center is that refuge."
                                        ~ Laura Hillenbrand, Author

Before purchasing a horse, there are many issues that should be carefully considered.
With improvements in nutrition and health care, horses are living longer, productive lives, and it is not uncommon for horses to live well into their 20s and 30s. The responsibility of horse ownership is immense.
